Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When is Tucker opened?
A: Tucker is open Tuesday-Sunday, 9 am – 4 pm. We are closed on Mondays and major holidays. Click here for more info on hours, maps and parking.
 
Q: What is the cost to enter Tucker?
A: Admission is free; we gratefully accept donations. Recommended donation is $3.00 per person.
 
Q: Are the trails at Tucker wheelchair accessible?
A: Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary offers many wheelchair-accessible trails and our bird porch and museum are equipped with wheelchair ramps.
 
Q: What are the trails like?
A: We have a few short, less than a mile, trails that are easy to moderate in difficulties. The trails inside the Sanctuary and the trail for our sensory garden are paved and wheelchair accessible. The upper dirt trail that leads up the mountain and overlooks our facility has a slight elevation gain.
 
Q: Is your facility good for children and family?
A: Tucker is family-friendly nature center. Our nature center is designed to be interactive for hands-on self-discovery. We have live and mounted animal displays for a closer look at nature. There are kiosks and signs throughout the property with more information on the animals and plants that we have at our sanctuary.
 
Q: Are cameras or video allowed?
A: Cameras and video cameras are permitted on Tucker grounds and nature center for personal used.  Profesional photography and cinematography are by permit only.  Please contact 714 649.2760 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Dogs on a 6-ft leash are allowed on our grounds and museum.
 
Q: Can I use your facility to host my child’s birthday party?
A: Yes, you can! Tucker is opened to the public for birthday parties, weddings and other private events. Click here to learn more about using Tucker to host your private events.
